Tim Clancy

I am 64 years old and am currently living in West Seneca, NY.  I've been a musician (guitar) for 40 years and have always been artistically inspired.  I started painting abstracts almost in early 2018 but had done many pencil drawings previously, years ago.  I work in acrylic, sometimes with watercolor. The feeling I get initially starting the painting is a kin to a dream state. Often, I should stop but continue on, losing the original concept.  I love color, especially the color in nature. The blurring of color in a butterfly wing, the eye of a dragonfly, a pheasants feathers...are my inspirations. I look at the world and see God as the artist.  A clear blue sky with the green leaves of a tall tree touching it has been something that nearly hypnotizes me at times.
